Calling costs you nothing. Mr. Nieto answers your questions himself, tells you honestly what you are facing, and there is no pressure to hire him. Call (505) 247-1973.
Picking Up the Phone Is the Hardest Part
Most people who call this office have never needed a criminal lawyer before. You are worried about what you will say, what it will cost, and whether calling somehow makes things worse. It does not. Reaching out early is one of the best things you can do for your case — and the first conversation is free.
When you call, you are not talking to a screener or an assistant reading from a script. You are talking to Mr. Nieto. He will ask what happened, listen to the whole story, and give you a straight, plain-language read on where you stand and what your options are.
What Happens on the Call
You tell Mr. Nieto what happened
In your own words. He listens first. There are no dumb questions, and nothing you say is going to shock him.
He tells you what you’re facing
Honestly. The likely charges, the deadlines that matter (like the 10-day MVD clock in a DWI), and what the road ahead looks like.
You decide — no pressure
If it makes sense to work together, Mr. Nieto explains his fees clearly. If not, you still leave the call knowing more than when you started.
What to Have Ready
Do not let a lack of paperwork stop you from calling. But if you have any of these handy, they help Mr. Nieto size up your case faster:
- Anything the police or court gave you — a citation, complaint, police report, or bond paperwork
- Your next court date, if one is set
- The date and place of the arrest
- The names of anyone charged along with you
Common Questions
Does the consultation really cost nothing?
Yes. The first consultation is free. Mr. Nieto will listen to your situation and answer your questions at no cost and with no obligation to hire him. If you decide to move forward, he will explain his fees clearly before you commit to anything.
What should I bring or have ready?
Bring whatever you have, even if it is not much. Anything the police or the court gave you (a citation, a criminal complaint, a police report, bond paperwork), your next court date if you have one, and the date and place of the arrest all help. If you have none of that, call anyway. Mr. Nieto can work with what you have.
Is what I tell Mr. Nieto private?
Yes. Your consultation is confidential and protected. Speak freely so Mr. Nieto can give you an honest read on your case. If Spanish is easier for you or your family, the office can talk with you in Spanish.
